Professional legal or litigation experience related to the scope of competence of the PMAC
She is a Dispute Resolution Counsel and Legal Strategist with extensive experience in arbitration, mediation, intellectual property, and cross-border commercial transactions. Her practice covers IP litigation, patent and licensing disputes, FRAND and complex licensing interpretation, damages assessment, corporate and commercial disputes, data privacy, cyber law, e-commerce, public interest litigation, and anti-corruption matters. She has successfully mediated a significant number of disputes with a high settlement rate, including resolution of long-pending litigation within short timeframes. She represents corporations and public sector undertakings, including technology, infrastructure, energy, FMCG, retail, and multinational entities, and has served as nominated counsel for various government bodies and public sector units in India. Her prior roles include senior in-house positions at Microsoft India, HCL-Hewlett Packard, Standard Chartered Bank, Singer India, and Escorts Ltd., where she led IP enforcement, regulatory compliance, arbitration, commercial negotiations, and legal department management. She began her career at Amarchand Mangaldas and trained at Herbert Smith Freehills LLP in London. She is an internationally certified mediator, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), Certified Board Member, and has also served as a consultant to the World Bank on governance and institutional accountability projects, regularly appearing before the High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.

Practical experience of conducting mediation or conciliation or judicial settlement conferences or out-of-court dispute settlements in disputes related to the scope of competence of the PMAC
She has acted as mediator in more than 250 domestic and cross-border disputes, including patent and other intellectual property matters, covering both pre- and post-litigation cases. Her mediation practice encompasses cross-border transactions, IP licensing, shareholder and investor disputes, commercial and contractual conflicts, and company-related matters. She has facilitated settlements across sectors including pharmaceuticals (including patent and generic disputes), technology and software, telecommunications, media and entertainment, e-commerce and social media platforms, construction and infrastructure, and other IP-intensive industries, addressing issues such as patent and trademark licences, copyright, cross-jurisdictional commercial contracts, and complex multi-party disputes. Her experience includes mediations between pharmaceutical companies, infrastructure and construction entities, broadcasting and technology companies, telecom operators, global brands in trademark and copyright matters, and disputes involving licence fee determination, including multi-party matters resolved within compressed timeframes.
