Judge in Italy for over 40 years (1978-2020) and I currently advising on civil litigation (IP rights) and arbitration matters.
Extensive experience as
- a judge (1978 - 2004) and
- judge at the Italian Supreme Court (2004-2009)
- president of court of first instance [president of the Specialised Division of Enterprises of Milan (2009-2016), specialised in industrial and intellectual property rights] and
- Milan Court of Appeal (president 2016-2020).
Has an international vocation (fluent in English and French).
Had several experiences abroad as a judge at the Italian Supreme Court (Cour of Cassation in Rome): completed internships in the United Kingdom (in London), the United States (New York, Washington, California), and France (in Paris), within the network of Supreme Court Judges.
Founding member (in the 2000s) of two associations of European judges (the Association of European Competition Judges - AECLJ) and the Intellectual Property Judges Association (IPJA). Served as President of the former for a two-year term and as Vice-President of the latter for many years.
Among the members of the Experts Panel for the Rules of Procedure of the Unitary Patent System.
