Brief description

Erik Schäfer's approach to mediation is determined by the parties legitimate expectations in the individual case. He prefers to caucus only in the event of an impasse. His focus is on commercially viable problem solving in the shadow of the law and not within the 'procrustean bed' of legal claims. When mediating, he can draw on his long experience of settling disputes as counsel that are subject to legal proceedings and as negotiator in contract negotiantions on behalf of his clients.
