He has served as an expert witness in over 40 litigations and validity actions relating to cellular standard-essential patents (SEPs). Recent engagements (2021–2025) include numerous patent litigation, Inter Partes Review (IPR), and regulatory proceedings before the U.S. Patent Trial and Appeal Board (USPTO), U.S. District Courts (including the Eastern District of Texas), and the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), as well as international proceedings before the Shenzhen Intermediate People’s Court (China), the 2nd Business Court of Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), and the Civil Court of Bogotá (Colombia). These matters involved leading multinational technology companies such as Samsung, Apple, Ericsson, Lenovo, LG Electronics, Oppo, OnePlus, MediaTek, Huawei, Toyota, NetApp, Hisense, and Unified Patents, primarily in telecommunications and SEP-related disputes. He was retained by major international law firms including Finnegan, Fish & Richardson, WilmerHale, Kirkland & Ellis, Ropes & Gray, Akin, Duane Morris, Bayes PLLC, and Leydig, Voit & Mayer, serving in each case as expert witness and technical consultant in support of patent validity, infringement, and related cross-border proceedings.
