Professional and academic background reflects a consistent engagement with science and technology, both of which are central to the scope of competence of the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre.

Holder of a B.A. in Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder (1998), an interdisciplinary science-focused degree that provided broad technical literacy across multiple scientific domains relevant to patent disputes.
Served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Belize (2000–2002), where developed and taught college-level science courses at the University of Belize in chemistry, biology, hydrology, and physics. 

From 2021 to 2024, Managing Partner at Goldman Ismail Tomaselli Brennan & Baum LLP, a litigation boutique recognized for its scientific focus in defending pharmaceutical, medical device, and manufacturing companies in complex disputes, including mass torts and multi-district litigation. In this capacity oversaw teams of lawyers and experts addressing highly technical matters at the intersection of science, medicine, and law, developing strategies that required mastery of both legal and technical concepts.
