He is an Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Lisbon and serves as Director of the International Journal of Arbitration and Conciliation of the Portuguese Arbitration Association. He has an extensive academic and research background in arbitration and procedural law, complemented by specialised training in arbitration, including sports arbitration.
Admitted to the bar since 2007, he has significant experience as a lawyer, arbitrator and certified mediator, having completed accredited mediation training with the London School of Mediation.
His professional practice focuses on arbitration and dispute resolution. He was previously a lawyer at PLMJ Advogados, where he worked extensively in litigation and arbitration. In parallel, he has held several academic and research positions at leading institutions and is affiliated with recognised research centres in the field of justice and legal studies.
