Professional legal or litigation experience related to the scope of competence of the PMAC

Since 1996, he has been involved in patent and trademark filing and prosecution. After an initial period of general practice, he increasingly focused on prosecution work, particularly in European, U.S., Korean, and Chinese patent and trademark matters, as well as opposition and reexamination proceedings before the EPO and USPTO. He has also gained substantial litigation experience, notably in Italy, Germany, the United States, and China. Over time, his practice expanded to include strategic advice on the management, development, and economic evaluation of intellectual property portfolios, including official appointments by Italian courts to value IP assets in bankruptcy proceedings or under the supervision of court-appointed trustees. He is also regularly engaged in assessing IP portfolios in the context of mergers and acquisitions, particularly with respect to validity, freedom-to-operate, and overall economic value. In the course of his work in trademarks, patents, and trade secrets, he has participated in several mediations and negotiated numerous settlement agreements. Most recently, he has been directly involved as a Technical Expert in three cases before the Unified Patent Court.

He has participated in numerous mediations and negotiated settlement agreements in the context of litigation, as well as in certain patent opposition proceedings. In his capacity as an accredited mediator, he has also been appointed in several ADR proceedings relating to domain names before ADR.eu and MFSD.

Practical experience of conducting mediation or conciliation or judicial settlement conferences or out-of-court dispute settlements in disputes related to the scope of competence of the PMAC
My day-to-day experience includes the economic evaluation of IP portfolios, which has extended to official appointments by Italian courts for the valuation of IP assets in bankruptcy cases or under the supervision of court-appointed trustees.
I am also regularly involved in assessing IP portfolios in terms of validity, FTO, and economic value in the context of M&A
