He has taught Intellectual Property Law, including Copyright and Industrial Property Law, for 25 years at the Law School of the University of Lisbon. He has acted as Chairman, Sole Arbitrator, Party-Appointed Arbitrator, Counsel, and Legal Expert in more than 100 domestic and international arbitrations and annulment proceedings under ad hoc and institutional rules, including ICC, ICSID, NAI, WIPO, OHADA, the Lisbon Commercial Arbitration Centre, and the Arbitration Centre of the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce in Brazil. These proceedings have involved commercial, copyright, and patent law issues. He has also served as counsel or expert in several court proceedings concerning international intellectual property disputes.
