He served as Managing Partner and advocate at Fitch Law Partners, LLP (1984–2024), following earlier litigation practice at Bingham Dana & Gould (now Morgan Lewis) (1982–1984). Since 2009, he has acted as arbitrator and mediator with the ICDR and AAA, as arbitrator with CPR (since 2022), and as arbitrator and mediator with JAMS (since 2025). His representative experience includes advocacy in U.S. federal patent infringement cases involving voice recognition and siRNA technologies; representation of Chinese, French, Brazilian, South African, and Colombian companies in international arbitrations concerning patent, technology licensing, and supply agreements; service as emergency arbitrator in disputes involving patent territories and sensor technology applications; and appointments as arbitrator in matters concerning non-competition and trade secret claims related to patented ozone technology, patent license agreements for 2G and 3G mobile communications technologies, copyright and trademark disputes between online educational entities, and agreements involving cranio-maxillofacial fixation system patents.
