Matteo Figini

Born in 1976 in Genoa where he attended the local German school: at copletion of the 13-years studies, he obtained the German and Italian high school diploma. After completing his university studies in Genoa and Milan, and after a 3 years working experience in Germany (Hamburg and Kiel), he started his profesisonal career in the Italian Milan based international Law Firm Pavia e Ansaldo, where he joined the IP department (dealing with patent and trademak mattrers, as well as unfair competition issues) for eight years. He continued his career in a further international Milan based law firm, where he joined the IP Department and was subsequently appojnted as head of the German Desk. In 2018, he joined bureau Plattner as Associate, and became Partner in 2022 and head of the IP Team in 2023. He assists clients - both national and foreign, natural and juridical persons, the latters often multinational entities - in litigation proceedings before national Courts in all instances, and out of Court in commercail and IP-related matters. He gained a strong experience in coordinating multinational and crossborder disputes pending, as far as Italy is concerned, before Civil and Administrative Courts, as well as regulatory Authorities, such as the Italian Antitrust Authority.
