Professional legal or litigation experience related to the scope of competence of the PMAC

He holds a Law degree from the University of Milan (1991), homologated in Spain (Universidad Abat Oliba, Barcelona, 2010), and has been a member of the Barcelona Bar since 2010. He has longstanding academic and teaching experience in Italian Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Information Technology Law, including appointments in London (University College London and the Italian Institute of Culture, 1992–1995) and ongoing lecturing roles at various European institutions and business schools. Since 2016, he has directed master’s programmes in Intellectual and Industrial Property and International Business Law at OBS Business School (Barcelona). He also lectures in communication and public speaking. Since 2003, he has served as a panelist under the ICANN Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy with WIPO (Geneva) and the Milan Chamber of Arbitration, and acts as mediator at the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center and WIPO/CAM. He is additionally a trainer in Nonviolent Communication and serves as Senior Intellectual Property Consultant for European Union projects in developing countries.

Since 2015, he has been engaged in the study, practice, and teaching of mediation, with particular focus on transformative mediation. While his mediation practice has not specifically concerned patent matters, he has more recently concentrated on the application of nonviolent communication techniques within mediation processes.
