Melis Engin

Melis Engin is a European Patent Attorney and IP Manager at Einhell Germany AG, with a technical background in electrical and electronics engineering. She has been a qualified European Patent Attorney since 2022 and has worked in-house since then. Prior to moving in-house, she gained experience working at various intellectual property law firms. Her practice focuses on intellectual property strategy, patent prosecution, freedom-to-operate analysis, patent disputes and oppositions, and the management of international patent portfolios. In her current role, she advises on complex IP matters and works closely with R&D, management, external counsel and business teams on the development and implementation of IP strategies. Her experience also includes patent litigation and validity matters, technology-related agreements, and IP issues arising in supplier and development relationships. She has completed the Master in Intellectual Property Law and Management (MIPLM). Her professional interests include strategic IP management, patent disputes, technology-driven innovation and the intersection of intellectual property, engineering and business strategy.
