Professional neutral with JAMS and Fellow of CIArb and the College of Commercial Arbitrators, listed on the WIPO List of Neutrals and the CPR Panel of Distinguished Neutrals, and member of the Tech List of the Silicon Valley Arbitration and Mediation Center (currently serving as Secretary). Previously served on the AAA/ICDR National IP and Life Sciences Panels. Before becoming a full-time IP neutral in 2020, served as Chair of both the IP Practice and the Litigation Department at Proskauer, handling exclusively intellectual property and IP-related contractual disputes (including licenses, R&D and collaboration agreements, settlement agreements, and inventorship matters) across major industries in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Holds BS and MS degrees from MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (life sciences focus) and a JD from Boston University School of Law; began legal career as a law clerk to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Although not practicing before the UPC or European national courts, has extensive experience in matters involving European patents and international issues, and currently serves as Chair of the ADR Committee of AIPPI, with a strong comparative understanding of U.S. and European patent law systems.

Based in the Boston market throughout his career and deeply embedded in the MIT and Harvard ecosystems, his practice—while national and international in scope—has primarily focused on technologies commonly associated with the Boston innovation landscape, including life sciences, artificial intelligence, computer hardware and software, robotics, telecommunications and data networks, encryption and communications protocols, and FinTech. He holds BS and MS degrees from MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, with a focus on life sciences.

JAMS, 2020–present. Practice divided evenly between mediation and arbitration, exclusively in life sciences and technology matters. Mediation work typically involves complex, cross-border disputes, including multi-party matters spanning civil and common law jurisdictions; recent engagements include a four-party mediation in Paris involving parties from Asia, Europe, and the United States. Experience encompasses both commercial and intellectual property disputes across a broad range of technologies and international contexts.
