PMAC will open its doors on 12 May 2026

Following the adoption of the Rules of Procedure by the Administrative Committee on 24 April 2026, the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) is pleased to announce the opening of its doors on 12 May 2026. The launch will take place in three phases to ensure a smooth, efficient and fully supported rollout of services.

In the first phase, commencing on 12 May 2026, the Centre will provide support to parties seeking ADR information sessions and mediation services. The second phase will introduce expert determination services, followed later in the year by the launch of arbitration services.

From 12 May 2026, parties will be able to submit requests for proceedings through the Centre’s new Case Management System (CCMS).
