PMAC Launches New Neutrals Page
The Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) is pleased to announce the launch of the new PMAC Neutrals page, bringing together professionals accredited through the first and second calls for applications, following a selection process involving the PMAC Expert Committee and the Director of the Centre.
The PMAC Neutrals pool now comprises 387 accredited professionals. Profiles are published on the PMAC Neutrals page subject to the professionals' consent and submission of the relevant information. Accordingly, the number of profiles currently available online does not reflect the full extent of the accredited pool.
Across both calls, the accreditation figures by category are:
151 Mediators
134 Associated Mediators
228 Members of Arbitral Tribunals
134 Sole/Emergency Arbitrators
138 Experts
Some professionals hold accreditation in more than one category.
The breadth and diversity of the PMAC Neutrals pool offer parties a wide choice of professionals representing different legal traditions, technical expertise and international experience, reflecting the complexity and cross-border nature of patent and related disputes. Notably, 148 accredited professionals have declared experience in SEP/FRAND matters. The pool brings together professionals from 52 countries, including Germany, Italy, France and other EU Member States, as well as the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, China and Japan, among others.
PMAC's international reach also reflects the scope of disputes it may support. In addition to disputes concerning European patents, European patents with unitary effect and supplementary protection certificates falling within the competence of the Unified Patent Court (UPC), PMAC may facilitate the resolution of related disputes involving national patents, other intellectual property rights or commercial matters, provided they have a factual, legal or commercial connection to an actual or contemplated dispute falling wholly or in part within the UPC's competence.
The new page aims to enhance the visibility and accessibility of this network, providing parties and counsel with a centralised, searchable directory of professionals and their areas of expertise.
The SIDRA International Dispute Resolution Survey: 2026 Final Report highlights the importance of professional experience, specialised knowledge and diversity, including nationality and legal background, when choosing dispute resolution professionals. In line with these findings, the new page facilitates access to relevant information, allowing parties and counsel to identify potential neutrals, explore their professional profiles and make their own assessments of suitability for specific disputes.
We invite you to explore the new PMAC Neutrals page and discover the professionals who form part of PMAC's growing international network.
