PMAC to launch Expert Determination services on 30 July 2026

As part of the continued rollout of its ADR services, the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) is pleased to announce that Expert Determination services will be introduced on Thursday 30 July 2026.

To facilitate the introduction of these new services, the CCMS will undergo scheduled maintenance from 12:00 to 14:00 and will therefore be temporarily unavailable during this period.

The introduction of Expert Determination marks the next step in the gradual rollout of the Centre’s ADR offering, providing parties with an additional mechanism to address specific legal, factual, or technical issues arising in the context of patent disputes.

As of 14:00 on 30 July 2026, parties will be able to submit requests for Expert Determination proceedings through the Centre’s Case Management System (CCMS).
