PMAC expands its ADR offering with Expert Determination

Following the launch of ADR Information Sessions and Mediation services, the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC) of the Unified Patent Court (UPC) is pleased to announce the availability of Expert Determination proceedings.

Expert Determination allows parties to obtain an independent expert assessment of specific legal, factual, or technical issues arising in the context of a dispute. This flexible procedure provides an additional ADR option for resolving complex patent matters, including SEP/FRAND disputes where expert input may support the assessment of key technical and commercial issues.

Requests for Expert Determination proceedings can be submitted through the Centre’s Case Management System (CCMS).
