PMAC Director Meets Portuguese Justice and IP Authorities in Lisbon
The Director of the Patent Mediation and Arbitration Centre (PMAC), Mr Aleš Zalar, held a meeting in Lisbon with representatives of the Portuguese Ministry of Justice and the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property.
The meeting brought together members of the Cabinet of the Deputy Minister of Justice, as well as Mr João Amaral, External Relations and Legal Affairs Director at the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property, and Ms Ana Bandeira, President of the Portuguese Institute of Industrial Property.
Discussions focused on the state of play of the PMAC, including recent developments and ongoing preparations towards the Centre’s operationalisation.
Particular attention was given to the upcoming inauguration ceremony of the PMAC, scheduled for 2 June 2026 in Ljubljana.
The participants also exchanged views on the preparation of an event to be held in Lisbon, marking the official opening of the PMAC in one of its host countries and promoting its role in the European intellectual property landscape.
